I’m an IAIM baby massage teacher and I can work with you and your baby from birth to pre-crawling! Why choose an IAIM baby massage course? Because you’ll learn much more than just the mechanics of a massage routine. The programme involves many different styles of touch, movement, interaction and communication. I will teach you a soothing, rhythmic massage for your baby that will help you to learn your baby's communication cues as well as relax them. The IAIM baby massage course is endorsed by the Royal College of Midwives, Embody and the Complimentary Therapists’ Association.

You will learn a tried and tested sequence of rhythmic massage strokes that will empower you as a parent. Baby massage gives you the means to become an expert on your own child and will, therefore, be able to respond according to your baby's needs. At the start of the course, you will receive a jar of organic coconut oil, a booklet which contains information on the IAIM and all the massage sequences, the colic routine plus a wipe clean quick reference guide. Information on parenting and benefits of massage will be emailed to you each week.

If you have twins and you wish to bring your partner or another person to help with the massage, please contact me at the time of booking so that I can adjust the numbers for each group.

Suitable for babies from birth to pre-crawling, the course runs over five weeks. All the sessions are baby-led and you are encouraged to attend to your baby if they are crying, need feeding, or just need comforting.

  • Week 1: Legs and feet

  • Week 2: Tummy massage / colic routine

  • Week 3: Chest / Arms

  • Week 4: Face and back

  • Week 5: Full massage routine and how to adapt it for your growing child

You will learn a lifelong parenting skill and gain a deeper understanding of your baby's behaviour, crying and body language. Babies can remain clothed for the massage session if you prefer.
