 Postnatal Support

Being a parent is one of the hardest jobs a person can ever take on but it can also be the most rewarding. Nobody can predict what being a parent will be like for you as every baby is different and everybody reacts to parenthood differently. The only thing certain about having a baby is that your life will change in every way.

Several births take place when a child is born; the birth of the mother, the father and the family. Mums and dads need to have the right support available to them so that they can enjoy the experience of being a parent, of being a family.

I am an easibirthing® Certified Postnatal Practitioner (CPNP), registered as an easibirthing® postnatal specialist. I trained with Sharon Mustard, a leading expert in the field of postnatal support.

As a clinical hypno-psychotherapist, I can help you to:

  • Adjust to your new role as parents

  • Look at what your life’s goals and priorities are

  • Recognise and overcome unhelpful and negative thoughts so that you can feel empowered to feel more in control of your life.

Parents today have a lot to contend with; this may be to do with housing, your job, having to go back to work before you feel ready, having to find childcare for your baby, and the impact of social media on all our lives, which can make many of us feel that we’re not the best parents that we can be.

There is no such thing as a perfect parent - never has been, never will be - but we can all be good enough. Good enough for our child, for our partner and for ourselves.

If you need support, please contact me and let me help you to relax into your parenting role while still having a sense of you as a person, not just as a parent.
