Baby yoga songs and rhymes

We use a lot of songs and rhymes during baby yoga to complement the yoga poses during our sessions. These are just a few of them that you can use at home when you are practicing and playing with your small person

Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose
And he flipped it and he flopped it and the fly flew away.

Floppy ears and curly whiskers
Floppy ears and curly whiskers
Floppy ears and curly whiskers
And he flipped it and he flopped it and the fly flew away.

Bicycle Song

When I ride my bicycle, I cycle round and round

Up the hill so slowly

Then whizzing all the way down.

When I ride my bicycle, I feel so strong and free

I’m on bicycle – look at me!

Mr Sun

Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun - shine, shine down on me
Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun - hiding behind a tree (boo!)
These little children are asking you - please come out so they can play with you
Mr Sun, Sun, Mr Golden Sun - shine, shine down on me.

Row the Boat

Row, row, row the boat gently up the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is just a dream.

Row, row, row your boat gently up the creek
If you see a little mouse, don’t forget to squeak (squeak, squeak).

Row, row, row your boat gently up the Nile
If you see a crocodile, don’t forget to smile (big smile - cheese!)

Row, row, row your boat gently to the shore
If you see a lion, don’t forget to roar (wide mouth and loud roar!).

Shake the sillies out

We’re going to shake, shake, shake the sillies out
Shake, shake, shake the sillies out
Shake, shake, shake the sillies out
And wiggle our waggles away.

(Then you can stretch the sleepies out/clap the crazies out/jump the jitters out).

Open close Them

Open close them, open close them
Give a little clap, clap, clap.
Open close them, open close them
Lay them in your lap, lap, lap.

Creep them, creep them, creep them, creep them
Right up to your chin, chin, chin.
Open wide your little mouth but do not let them in!

Shake them, shake them, shake them, shake them
Shake them just like this
Roll them, roll them, roll them, roll them
Blow a little kiss!

The Wheels on the bus

The wheels on the bus go round and round
Round and round, round and round
The wheels on the bus go round and round
All through the town.

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish

The people on the bus go up and down

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.
