A four-week course where dads will learn how to give a massage to their baby.
Dads who massage their babies tend to have a closer relationship with them and often get more involved in other areas of babycare too, such as bath and play time. Babies who are massaged by their dads are more connected to their dads.
If babies have enjoyed this close physical contact, they get more excited when they see their dads. They smile and reach for their dads more so than babies who haven't been massaged. As well as learning a new skill, you can also meet other dads and babies. Mums are invited to come along as support and to feed their baby.
You will :
learn gentle massage strokes that will calm and relax your baby
help your baby to feel securely attached
help your baby to feel more loved, valued and respected
increase your baby's levels of relaxation and promote longer sleep
help your baby to develop body awareness and co-ordination
provide relief from wind, colic, constipation and teething discomfort.
You will learn a lifelong parenting skill and gain a deeper understanding of your baby's behavior, crying and body language.
You will receive a bottle of fractionated coconut oil for you to use at home plus course handouts.
